Janie Zeitlin, RDN, CDN
Janie Zeitlin, Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, CDN) joined Heritage Healthcare in January 2025. With over 20 years of experience working in private practice and as a consultant in Manhattan and Westchester County, Janie strives to improve healthcare through the nutritional sciences. She completed her training at New York University and NY Presbyterian Hospital and then honed her clinical skills at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System, St. Vincent's Hospital, Rivington House and at Columbia Doctors. At the Westchester Institute of Human
Development, Janie aims to prevent and manage chronic disease in an underserved community. She works to create the Food As Medicine Program to improve access to wholesome, nutritious food to individuals with Inherited Metabolic Disorders and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.Janie specializes in Medical Nutrition Therapy and weight management. She works with individuals with uncontrolled Diabetes, Cardiac Disease, HIV, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Celiac Disease, IBD and liver disease. Through personalized nutrition plans, Janie focuses on helping to optimize glycemic control, improve lipid management and minimize GI distress to improve health outcomes. As a mother of three young children, Janie understands the demands of work and family. She is a fitness enthusiast and is passionate about dance and hot yoga.
